League e-mails

posted Mar 2, 2013, 9:15 AM by Devon Sommer

It appears some coaches and/or parents have not received some of the league wide email messages. From our end it appears all messages are being delivered. So, it could be an issue of the message being routed to your spam or junk mail folder. Please check this folder and see that messages coming from the league, specifically from Devon Sommer (devon_sommer@yahoo.com) have not been blocked.

Thanks.

Referee on-line registration

posted Dec 4, 2011, 3:55 PM by Christopher Heath   [ updated Feb 17, 2013, 5:43 PM ]

This year we want all previous referee's and those desiring to get a chance for an OPEN referee position to register on our website - www.oregoncitylax.com.  Click on the same register here button you would to register as a player but utilize the "2013 Referee Signup" link.  Since some of your may not be 18 years old, you may need to have a parent register first and then add you as a referee.  We have limited positions and give priority to our RETURNING REFEREE'S.  We will notify all "first-time" refs if they are selected for the program.  Our Ref Coordinator is Barb Canaday this year.  Her email is barb@canaday.net.  All referee's selected this year will be required to ALSO register with US Lacrosse as an "official" (referee) at no cost.

Coaches Needed for the 2013 Season

posted Dec 19, 2010, 6:15 PM by Christopher Heath   [ updated Nov 7, 2012, 7:32 PM ]

The Oregon City Youth Lacrosse program is looking for volunteer coaches for the upcoming season.  No coaching experience is necessary, merely a desire to help out.  If you have played or coached lacrosse then great!  This program relies on volunteer coaches to keep lacrosse alive and well in Oregon City.  We need all the help we can get with all levels of play from 1st to 8th grade.  Having coaches that can run a "station drill" is a great help to a head coach, so don't think a lack of experience in the game of lacrosse is a reason not to help.  US Lacrosse offers coaching clinics that we will gladly pay for if you want to learn more about coaching this great sport.  Please contact Chris Heath at coach.chris@oregoncitylax.com if you are interested.

For the 2013 season we will contine to use the same online registration process.  The steps are easy to follow and will ultimately make things easier for everyone.  Our costs from last year increased due to additonal charges for use of fields.  There will be a MANDATORY  "Preseason Organizational Meeting"  for all new and returning players (Time and location TBD).  This meeting will be an opportunity to get sized for uniforms, and leave with your uniform. You can also purchase equipment and meet the coaching staff.  If you would like to donate to our "scholarship" program, the registration now has a feature to facilitate a donation for this purpose.  Your fees will cover all expenses associated with your son playing the game of lacrosse for Oregon City.  Thanks for listening and we look forward to the new season!
Registration for the 2013 season opened on DECEMBER 1st! The registration deadline for all grades is February 15th, 2011. After this date there will be a late registration fee of $15.  Practices for all teams will begin the first week of March. To register online, follow the instructions below:
  1. Go to the Registration Site (click here).
  2. Select the "Click here to Login and Register" button.
  3. First time users will be asked to create an account.  Since this is a new registration site all users will be required to create an account.
  4. Follow the steps from there.
